CofC fraternities team up with HFH for home remodel

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV)-- More than 60 College of Charleston fraternity members will be pitching in to remodel a cottage-style home for Habitat for Humanity."We've never actually done a hands on type of build service project," said Blake Wilson, Inter-Fraternity Council's Philanthropy and Service Chair. "So that was one of our goals to get out here and immerse ourselves in the Charleston community and help build a house." The build will stretch over two days at a home on Romney Street in the downtown area."We decided to partner with the Charleston Habitat for Humanity because we thought it would be a great way for fraternity members to give back to the community," says{} "On top of that, our hope is that fraternity members will bond with each other and meet members they may not know while being immersed in the Charleston community."
