Colbert Busch kicks off special election campaign

CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - Democrat Elizabeth Colbert (kohl-BURT') Busch is kicking off her general election campaign in South Carolina's 1st Congressional District.
Colbert Busch visits a senior center in suburban Charleston on Thursday. Later she talks to reporters about her proposals to dealing with issues faced by the nation's seniors.
Colbert Busch is the sister of political satirist Stephen Colbert (kohl-BEHR') and faces former Republican Gov. Mark Sanford in next month's special election to fill the vacant House seat.
Sanford held the seat for three terms back in the 1990s.
