COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) -- South Carolina's capital city will formally dedicate a park not far from downtown named for one of the city's former mayors.
The ceremony for Columbia's Coble Plaza is Wednesday morning behind the EdVenture Children's Museum.
Coble Plaza will include an amphitheater, boardwalk and plaza. It will also be a part of the Three Rivers Greenway.
The plaza is named for Bob Coble, who was mayor of Columbia from 1990 to 2010 and now works as a lobbyist.
