COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) -- Managers and owners of commercial kitchens in Columbia are getting two chances this week to learn how to deal with fats, oils and grease.
Columbia city officials are holding a free training session Wednesday at the Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center. A session took place Tuesday at the Lourie Center.
Attendees will get the chance to learn how to manage fats, oils and grease in ways that meet city sewer and storm water regulations. Some of the regulations have recently changed.
Members of the city's regulatory staff will also be on hand to answer questions about inspection programs.
