Commission approves SC amendment explanations
COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - A group has agreed to the explanations voters will see to the two proposed amendments to South Carolina's constitution.
The Constitutional Ballot Commission met last week in the state Attorney General's Office.
They approved language to explain an amendment that if passed would allow some charitable nonprofit groups to run raffles and the second amendment which would change the state constitution to change the adjutant general from being chosen by the voters to an appointment by the governor.
The amendments will be on the ballot in November.
