Computer, checks, tickets stolen from Lowcountry Orphan Relief

      NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- A laptop computer, unsold gala tickets, a gift card and personal checks were stolen from the Lowcountry Orphan Relief, according to a police report.

      The report states officer responded to the nonprofit on Truxton Avenue on Nov. 23 in reference to a burglary.

      Officials said they believe the suspect got in through a side window.

      Officials with the nonprofit said all the windows are kept locked, according to the report, but officers said there was no sign of forced entry or damage to the window or lock.

      The suspect left the building through a front door the suspect unlocked from the inside, the report states.

      According to the report, a Sony laptop computer, a $5 Starbucks gift card, 50 unsold ticket to a Lowcountry Orphan Relief gala, and personal checks written for $500 and $130 were stolen.
