MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCIV) -- Some of Mount Pleasant's finest found a way to cool off Sunday afternoon -- and it was all for a good cause.
At Blackbeard's Cove Family Fun Park, police officers took turns in a dunking booth to raise money for several summer youth programs.
"We're trying to raise whatever we can. We'll put it to good use. It'll go towards kids activities and so forth," said Cpl. Bill Dorfner.
Dorfner said all the donations go a long way towards funding several community-based programs.
It was all part of a group of events that included food and putt-putt games. It was also the park's eighth anniversary.
