CPD arrest 3rd man in Meeting St murder

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- Charleston Police have arrested a third suspect{} and added charges for the two already in custody for the shooting that happened on Meeting Street July 14.

Police report 21-year-old Omary Rashard Kornickey is charged with murder and attempted murder.

The first two suspects, 23-year-old Brian Ancrum and 29-year-old Glendell Gladden Jr., were both arrested on July 14 and charged with murder. Both are now also charged with attempted murder.

The shooting happened around 2 a.m. at the Exxon gas station on Meeting St.

Three people were shot and one of the victims later died at MUSC. The other victims had non-life threatening injuries.

According to a release, officers found the three victims at separate hospitals. Officers said all of them had been transported in personal vehicles.
