CPD arrest man for robbing CVS pharmacy

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- Charleston police have arrested a man they say robbed the Maybank Highway CVS over the weekend.

The suspect, 26-year-old Brian Christopher Laing was arrested early Sunday morning and is charged with strong armed robbery.

Police believe he is the man who walked into the store around 5 p.m. on Saturday and handed the pharmacist a note demanding Oxycontin.

Police said the pharmacists gave him one bottle of pills before he left the store.

He is scheduled to have a bond hearing on Monday.
