CPD arrests one for armed robbery, seek another

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- Charleston police have arrested a man they believe is connected to an armed robbery that happened on Wentworth Street.CPD officials say the suspect is one of two they are looking for.The robbery happened around 2 a.m. on August 3 between Meeting and Anson streets.

The suspect, 27-year-old Issac Nathaniel Toomer Jr, is charged with two counts of armed robbery.

Officials said two victims were walking to a home on Wentworth St. when they were approached by two men. One of the men was armed with a handgun and took the victims' wallets and a cell phone.

The second suspect is described as a black male, between 25 and 30 years-old, about 5'10" inches tall with a thin build.
