CPD captures BP butt grabber who then hit victim with car

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- Charleston police arrested a man Tuesday and charged him with an assault at a gas station.

According to Charleston police, 31-year-old Enrico Bryant was charged with assault and battery of a high an aggravated nature and second-degree assault and battery.

Last week, police released photos of a man they say copped a feel during a fill-up at a gas station and then hit his victim with his car.

The suspect reportedly "grabbed the buttocks" of the victim while she was at the BP gasstation on Wantoot Boulevard.

Police said when she confronted the suspect, he got defensive and upset so she got on her bike and began to leave when the suspect drove away in his car hitting the victim and knocking her off her{} bike.

The victim told police she heard the engine accelerate before the car hit her. The suspect then turned his vehicle around and fled the area towards Savannah Hwy.

The suspect is described as a black male with a light complexion, between 30-40 years of age, standing at 5'8"-6'0". He was seen operating a green vehicle (possibly a Saturn or Jetta) with tinted windows.

Bryant is being held at the Al Cannon Detention Center.
