CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- A Charleston man is accused of using social media sites to communicate with underage girls and try to solicit sex from them.
Glen Alan Rogers, 45, is charged with two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor and giving obscene materials to a person under the age of 18.
According to the affidavit, Rogers used Meebo, Hotmail and Facebook on his smartphone.
A Pennsylvania victim says in the affidavit: "Glen had made sexual comments and comments about sex. He told me that he would come to Pottsville to have sex with me." Investigators said she was 17 at the time of the communication which was in June 2012.
Also in June 2012, Rogers is accused in the affidavit of sending photos of his penis to the girl in Pottsville through text messages.
The victim also said they talked about sneaking out and staying in a hotel and traded pictures.
A second victim from Florida said in another affidavit that Rogers "talked about getting me pregnant at 16 and having sex and me running away with him." The victim said Rogers told her he traveled to Florida for work and told her to lie to her parents so that they could meet. Court records date these communications as happening in October 2011.
Rogers was taken into custody by Charleston police on Wednesday.
