CPD: Fugitive wanted for InTown Suites shooting arrested in Aiken

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- North Charleston police report they will be heading to Aiken County Tuesday to pick up a suspect wanted for the shooting at a local hotel last week.According to NCPD officials, Aiken County authorities have located and arrested Andrew Trotter. He was wanted for attempted murder following an incident at the InTown Suites on Rivers Avenue at Greenridge Road.According to police, the victim was found inside room 240 at hotel. EMS officials said the man was shot twice and taken to Medical University Hospital.Investigators said Tai Thach and Trotter were staying at the hotel and were asked{} to leave. The clerk escorted the two men to a room and an argument started between Thach and a housekeeper. Police say Trotter pulled out a gun and pointed it at the housekeeper but then, for unknown reasons, turned the gun on the Thach instead. The NCPD Warrants Unit will pick up Trotter while Thach remains in the hospital. He will be served with his warrants before he's discharged.
