CPD: Harbor View Hess station robbed

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- Charleston police are investigating an armed robbery that happened Sunday night.

According to the police report, officers responded to the Hess station on Harbor View Road around 9 p.m. and spoke to a clerk who said a black male with a gun had robbed the store.

The clerk told police he had left the cashier's booth to stock the shelves when the suspect came in, showed a gun and demanded money from the register. Police said the suspect left with an unknown amount of cash and a pack of cigarettes.

There is no description given of the suspect.
