      CPD: King Street Family Dollar robbed

      CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- Charleston police are investigating an armed robbery that happened at the King Street Family Dollar Monday night.

      According to an incident report, officers responded around 9 p.m. and spoke to an employee who said an unknown black male came into the store, pointed a gun and demanded money from the register.

      The suspect, who appeared to be around 25 years of age, reportedly fled the scene on foot with over $960.

      Police have not released any other information but we will update this story as more details become available.
