Man surrenders to CPD, another still being sought

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- Charleston police released two alerts for two suspects wanted for separate incidents. One of the men already turned himself in to police.

The first suspect, 20-year-old Jamal Rashard Rollerson, is wanted for weapons violations. Charleston police said he surrendered Monday afternoon.

According to a police report, Rollerson ran from police on Friday and dropped a loaded gun with the serial number filed off between some buildings at the Charleston Housing Authority on Athens Court.

Rollerson is wanted for unlawful carry of a handgun, possession of a handgun with an obliterated serial number and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.{} His last known address is 15 Grove St. in Charleston.

Rollerson is being held in the Al Cannon Detention Center.

The second suspect, 20-year-old Donald Desmond Montez McFadden, is wanted for breaking into a car Cooper St. and stealing the stereo. Police say they found McFadden's fingerprints on the car.

McFadden is wanted for breaking and entering. His last known address is 2661 Ferrara Drive in North Charleston.
