CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV)-- Investigators with the Charleston POlice Department have been searching the retention pond behind Famous Joe's on Savannah Highway.

According to a CPD spokesman, they were hoping to find any evidence related to the investigation into the death of 17-year-old Marley Lion.

As the search wrapped up, the spokesman would not say if anything had been found in the pond, only that the search was part of the "ongoing investigation."

Marley Lion was found shot by his truck, parked in the parking lot of Famous Joe's on June 16. Police have said the shooting was the result of a botched robbery and have since released a video showing the shooter and another possible suspect.

Detective Richard Burkhardt is the lead detective and says the entire investigative division is working on the case. He said they have canvassed the entire West Ashley area, including residences and businesses and have even posted fliers.

If you have any information on the murder of Lion, you are asked to call the investigative unit at the Charleston Police Department {}or Crime Stoppers at 843-554-1111.
