CPD: Woman arrested in hit and run case

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- Charleston police have arrested a woman they believe hit a bicyclist leaving part of her fender behind.

According to police, the driver has been identified as 26-year-old Katherine Anne Mosson of Double Fox Road in Charleston.

Mosson is charged with Leaving the Scene of a Collision Resulting in Injury/Death and Improper Lane Change/Usage.

According to the police report, the accident happened around 1 a.m. Sunday on St. Andrews Blvd. and Colony Drive.

Officers said they found the 29-year-old victim unconscious after he was struck riding his bicycle in the bicycle lane.

According to the report, the driver of the vehicle left behind pieces of a green, plastic fender and black plastic bumper attachment. Police later said the part belongs to a 2003-2007 4-door charcoal grey Honda Accord.

The car involved in the collision has been identified by police as a 2005 Honda Accord EX registered to Mosson.
