Crews demolish front of airport terminal

      NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- Construction at Charleston International Airport is moving right along.{}

      Airport officials on Thursday released a video of crews demolishing the front of the terminal building as part of the $189 million redevelopment project.{}

      Earlier this month, officials created new routes to get to the concourses while crews worked inside. For about a week, the central atrium and hallway leading to Concourse A was closed and a new walkway near baggage claim gave travelers access to Concourses A and B.

      When everything reopens, the airport will offer a host of new food and retail offerings, including a Caviar & Bananas, Charleston Beer Works, Harvest & Grounds Bakery & Coffee, Lowcountry Harley Davidson, and Eddie Bauer.{}

      All of the upgrades are supposed to be completed by the end of 2015. More updates on the construction plan can be found at{}
