SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (WCIV) -- A woman died from blunt force body trauma after an accident on Interstate 26 Friday afternoon, said Berkeley County Coroner Bill Salisbury.

Salisbury said Mary Ann Rice, 68, of Tennessee was traveling in the west bound lane at mile marker 198 at about 1:30 p.m. when her car ran off the side of the road and struck a tree.

She was trapped in the car and cut out by the fire department, Salisbury said.

Salisbury ruled her death accidental and said she was wearing a seatbelt.
