Crews respond to school bus fire

MONCKS CORNER, S.C. (WCIV) -- Dispatch operators have confirmed crews responded to a school bus on fire.

An official with Moncks Corner FD says he believes the fire is out and all children on board were safely evacuated. Moncks Corner Rural FD is the agency responding.

The school bus was pulled over on Cooper Store Road in Moncks Corner.

According to Berkeley County School District spokesperson Susan Haire, the fire happened on the bus around 7:50 a.m.

She said students from Berkeley High School were safely evacuated, picked up by another bus and taken to school. No injuries are reported.
