Crime Stoppers ups reward for information on summer homicide
BERKELEY, S.C. (WCIV) -- Crime Stoppers of the Lowcountry and the Berkeley County Sheriff's Office are offering a $4,000 reward to anyone who has information that would lead to an arrest in the murder of 79-year-old Artie Bradley.BCSO officials said they are adding $3,000 to the normal Crime Stoppers award of $1,000. The additional reward was made by anonymous donors who knew Bradley.Bradley's body was found last June along Bonneau Road, less than two miles away from his home near the Macedonia community inside Hoods Trailer Park in Francis Marion National Forest. The coroner deemed Bradley was the victim of a homicide.According to a flier from Crime Stoppers, Ellen Wright said some of her family members had to identify Bradley's remains because his body was so badly decomposed and his sister used a birth mark on his stomach along with his belt buckle to make a positive ID.There have been no arrests made in this case.Friends of Artie Bradley have offered the additional reward for information leading to the arrest of anyone involved in this crime.
