CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- Charleston County Sheriff's deputies are investigating two cases of child abuse that involve girls under the age of 15.
In both cases, the relationship of the offenders and the victims are being withheld to protect the identity of the children.
The first suspect, 50-year-old Theodore Marvin Agee, is accused of molesting a girl over a span of at least five years. The police report says the attacks happened between 1998 and 2006 while the victim was between the ages of 7 and 15-years old. The affidavit says the abuse happened when the girl was between the ages of 10 and 15-years-old.
Court documents say Agee would rub the girl's back then move to her privates. After the victim reported him, officers report they confronted him and he admitted to the crimes. He turned himself in to the sheriff's office Monday.
Agee is charged with committing a lewd act on a minor and criminal sexual conduct with a minor in the second degree. Bond was set at $50,000.
The second case is much more disturbing and sensitive readers may want to stop here.
According to deputies, the 14-year-old female victim was taken to the hospital after being sexually assaulted.
Court documents say the suspect tied the child's hand behind her back using a bed sheet, stripped her and raped her.
U.S. Marshals took 22-year-old Mark Christopher Wilson into custody. He is charged with two counts of committing a lewd act on a minor and kidnapping.
According to court records, bond was set at $20,000 for the lewd act charges. Bond for the kidnapping charge is pending.
