SEABROOK, S.C. (WCIV) -- The Beaufort County Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting that left one man injured.
According to a release, deputies responded to Beaufort Memorial Hospital where a 26-year-old had been brought in with several non-life-threatening gunshot wounds to his lower torso.
Deputies said when doctors put the man on the stretcher, a handgun fell out of his pants.
The victim also had crack cocaine, power cocaine, marijuana and other drug paraphernalia with him, said deputies.
The woman who brought the victim to the hospital said she was with him when he was shot.
She told deputies they were standing near a vehicle on Detour Street when they heard gunshots and when she realized the man had been shot, she took him to the hospital.
Deputies said neither the woman or the victim could provide suspect information or possible motive.
