Deputies: Johns Island man threatened president in call to 911

JOHNS ISLAND, S.C. (WCIV) -- A Johns Island man was arrested on Election Day after allegedly calling 911 and threatening to shoot President Barack Obama.

According to Charleston County investigators, sheriff's deputies were called to the Johns Island home of Kevin Salvo around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday. They say he made two calls to emergency dispatchers.

In one of the calls, Salvo is quoted as saying "F*** all Democrats and stay away from me," and "The South will rise again."

Police reports say he also threatened to shoot the president.{}

The calls were recorded by dispatch. Salvo is charged with illegal use of 911.

According to court records, he was given a $1,092 surety bond.
