ORANGEBURG, S.C. (WCIV) -- Orangeburg County Sheriff's deputies are looking for a man they say threw a child, causing injuries.

The suspect, Michael Anthony McClellan, is wanted for unlawful conduct toward a child.

According to OCSO officials, deputies were called to the{} Regional Medical Center last month because a 2-year-old had been injured. Investigators determined that the 2-year-old and a 4-year-old were jumping on a bed when the suspect threw the 2-year-old causing a spiral fracture to his right femur.

"Any adult that can use enough strength on a helpless child to damage a bone, should not be hiding out from law enforcement," said Sheriff Leroy Ravenell. "To the family members and friends who are helping him allude authorities, assisting a fugitive is a criminal act too."

Anyone with information concerning McClellan's location is asked to call the Sheriff's Office at 803-534-3550 or Crime Stoppers at 888-CRIME-SC.
