Deputies search for suspects after break-in and shooting

LINCOLNVILLE, S.C. (WCIV) -- Deputies say they are still searching for two men who broke into a home and shot a man in the chest early Friday morning.Officials say several black male suspects forced their way into the residence, shot a male victim and tied up a female victim at a home on the 3300 block of Evergreen Oak Road in Lincolnville around midnight. Deputies say they arrived to find the home had apparently been ransacked by the suspects. A spokesperson for the Charleston County Sheriff's Office says two children, a 5-year-old and a 1-year-old, were also inside the home at the time of the break-in. The children were not hurt.According to a police report, officers found the man{} laying on his back in the driveway of another home on the same street. He was coherent enough to tell police three men came in through the front door and shot him.The female victim was in hysterics and had to be restrained. A neighbor told police the female victim came to her house with the two children in tow and said the male victim had been shot.The male victim was transported to an area hospital to be treated for a gunshot wound to the chest and head injuries. When the female victim calmed down, she was able to tell police the suspects used duct tape to tie her up and that she was pistol whipped.The victims were unable to provide deputies with additional descriptions of the suspects.
