GCSO deputies search for suspects in armed home invasions

MURRELLS INLET, S.C. (WCIV) -- Deputies with the Georgetown County Sheriff's Office are searching for two suspects in connection with multiple armed robberies.On Friday, deputies said two back male suspects entered a home on Huntington Marsh Road through an unlocked door. Deputies said when the victim heard the suspects, the men showed what appeared to be a hand gun and demanded money and jewelry from the victim.The suspects fled on foot and no one was injured, deputies said.While canvassing Huntington Marsh Road for information about the suspects, deputies said residents told them the suspects had gone to a second home on the same road but left when they realized the owners were home.

Deputies said the description of the suspects and the vehicle used are the same as those in a home invasion off of Highway 17 in Garden City. The Georgetown County Sheriff's Office is advising the public not to approach the vehicle or the suspects because they are considered armed and dangerous. The vehicle is described as a 2013 white Chevy Tahoe with the Georgia license plate PHR-2671.If you see the vehicle or the suspects, you are asked to call Crimestoppers at 554-1111.
