      Deputies seek robbery suspect

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- Charleston County sheriff's deputies are looking for a man they say robbed a West Ashley gas station and later called the victim to apologize.

Investigators say Douglas S. Luck, 31, robbed the Sky Mart BP station, 1924 Sam Rittenburg Blvd., Nov. 17.

Luck acted like he was going to make a purchase, then walked around the counter, grabbed the clerk's hand, took some cash and left the store on a moped, according to a news release from the Charleston County Sheriff's Office.

"Luck was identified as a known customer of the location and has since called the victim of the robbery several times apologizing for the robbery," the news release said.

Luck is 6-feet 2-inches tall, about 150 pounds and has a last known address of 1703 Heritage Park Road in Charleston.

Anyone with information about Luck's whereabouts should call the sheriff's office at (843) 202-1700 or Crime Stoppers at (843) 554-1111.
