Detention officer accused of domestic violence
CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCIV) -- A Charleston County detention officer was arrested Wednesday and charged with criminal domestic violence.
According to a statement from the Charleston County Sheriff's Office, DFC. Michael Keene was arrested around 5 p.m. Wednesday after an altercation involving Keene's wife a day earlier.
Officials said Keene reported to the Berkeley County Sheriff's Office and turn himself in; he was give a personal recognizance bond.
Details about any injuries Keene's wife sustained were not released.
Keene is currently on administrative leave without pay, the statement reads.
Keene has been a member of the detention center since February 2010.
