MONCKS CORNER, S.C. (WCIV) -- A second body has been found in the Cooper River near the site of two boat incidents over the weekend that led to a four-day search for two missing men. The coroner identified the body as missing 27-year-old Robbie Mullinax.

Berkeley County Coroner Bill Salisbury released the victim's identity shortly after 5 p.m. Tuesday.

"For the families' sake, we were very pleased we were able to bring them some closure.{} It's been tough on the families.{} It's been tough on the rescue workers," he said.

Earlier in the day, officials pulled a body out of the water that was identified as 57-year-old Robert Andrews, who disappeared almost four days ago after jumping out of a moving boat.

A member of the Department of Natural Resources confirmed that rescue crews located a body in the Tailrace Canal.

According to officials, a fisherman found the body around 6:20 a.m. near Pimlico Boat Landing. Crews from DNR and Berkeley County Rescue recovered Andrews' body and he was identified by family members when a photo of the victim's swim trunks was shown to them.

Salisbury said there are no obvious injuries or marking on Andrews' body, adding that his cause of death appeared to be drowning. However, he said he would not released an official cause until he could perform a full exam.

Andrews' body was found approximately two miles from where he jumped into the river and never resurfaced, according to Salisbury.

Salisbury says Andrews family is "very appreciative" and thankful to all the rescue teams and people involved in the search. They are thankful it is over and have this closure.

Salisbury also said a DNR plane is in the air and recovery efforts would continue for the second missing boater.

Three days had come and gone in the waters around the Pimlico Boat Landing with search and rescue teams coming up empty on the search for two missing boaters.

Berkeley County rescuers finished their search around 5 p.m. Monday, almost 72 hours after the first call for help was made. Berkeley County Coroner Bill Salisbury said crews are now trying to recover the bodies of 57-year-old Robert Andrews and 27-year-old Robbie Mullinax, but the number of searchers was being scaled back.

The search for the two missing boaters Saturday night turned into a recovery mission early Sunday morning. Officials said as many as 50 people were joining in the search Sunday.

According to Berkeley County officials, rescue squads and the Department of Natural Resources were called shortly before 6 p.m. Saturday to search for a missing person, later identified as Andrews, near Tailrace Canal who had jumped from a moving boat.
