Domestic dispute turns into leg stabbing and butt shooting
NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- North Charleston police responded to a home on Sumner Avenue Monday morning for reports of a stabbing and a shooting.
According to police, it happened around 2 a.m. Officers found no one at the home but later learned the couple had gone to MUSC.
The female victim told police the father of her children forced his way into her home a assaulted her. She said she tried to defend herself with a knife but he got hold of it and stabbed her in the leg.
Police said that's when the suspect pulled out a gun which the victim was able to gain control of and shoot her attacker in the buttocks.
Both the victim and suspect were treated for their wounds at MUSC.
The suspect 31-year-old Arthur Wilson was charged with Criminal Domestic Violence of a High and Aggravated Nature, Burglary in the first degree, Assault in the first degree, Unlawful Possession of a firearm during the Commission of violent crime, and possession of a firearm with an Obliterated Serial Number.
