Dorchester deputies look for shooting suspect

LADSON, S.C. (WCIV) -- Dorchester County deputies responded Monday afternoon to an apparent shooting on Oakmont Avenue off of Ladson Road.

According to a police report, deputies arrived to Honey Ridge Villas in Ladson and found two victims lying on the sidewalk getting treatment from EMS.

Deputies also found a shell casing in front of the apartment.

The victims, a 43-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman, told investigators that "Travis 'unknown last name' and Brent Peets" shot them.

The male victim told deputies that the female victim had come to collect her belongings when an argument erupted between the two suspects and the woman.

The report says that witnesses only heard one shot and only one shell casing was found.

DCSO deputies have issued an arrest warrant for 21-year-old Travis Donald Fender of Summerville and charged him with attempted murder.

While Peets is mentioned in the report, DCSO officials said his involvement is still under investigation.
