ECCO featured in Wednesday's Phonebank

      MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCIV) - For more than 20 years East Cooper Community Outreach has provided services for low-income families in need of help, or families coping after disaster. {}From Cordesville to Mount Pleasant thousands of people are helped every year.{}Some of the services offered include legal help, clothing assistance, food, and medical/dental attention. {}All of those programs strive to guide clients towards self-sufficiency. {}ECCO volunteers make it their goal to improve the quality of life of those living in the community.{}As we inch closer to the holiday season, ECCO will continue to collect donations for their food bank. {}Some of the needs include:
      • canned vegetables
      • grits
      • shampoo
      • canned beans
      • hamburger helper
      • dry soup
      • canned meats
      • canned fruits
      • Jell-o
      • baked beans
      • canned pumpkin
      • pudding mix
      • tooth brushes
      • coffee
      • chicken broth
      • jelly
      Wednesday ECCO will be featured in the Volunteer Four Phonebank. {}From 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. volunteers will be taking calls and fielding questions from anyone who would like to help. {}The phonebank number is 881-5837. {}If you can't call during the phonebank, but still want to help you can always call two other numbers any time of the day.
