Employee robbed of bank bag at Citadel Mall

WEST ASHLEY, S.C. (WCIV) -- An employee of a store in Citadel Mall was robbed of a bank bag late Wednesday night, Charleston police said.{}

According to police, an employee of Gold Buyers of America told officers that a man walked up to him, punched him in the face and took the company's bank bag.

Police described the suspect as a black male in his late teens or early 20s wearing a black coat and black cap with the letter "B" on it.{}

Officials did not comment on the injuries the employee sustained or in which direction the suspect ran after the alleged attack.

Police did not say how much money was in the bank bag at the time of the robbery.
