BEAUFORT, S.C. (AP) -- An expanded veterans' outpatient clinic at the Naval Hospital in Beaufort is ready to accept patients.
The center, operated with the Ralph Johnson VA Medical Center in Charleston, opens on Wednesday.
The new center will be able to serve about 1,200 more veterans. It includes a new primary care team of doctors, nurses, mental health and support staff. The center also allows its technicians to use telecommunication technology to consult with doctors who are at other locations.
