      Family displaced by fire in North Charleston

      NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- A North Charleston family was displaced after their home caught fire Tuesday evening.

      According to North Charleston fire officials, heavy smoke was found inside two units at a North Charleston apartment building.

      The fire was limited to the kitchen of one of the apartment units; firefighters had it out in 15 minutes, officials said.

      Four adults and two children are being assisted by the American Red Cross.

      No one was injured in the fire.
