Family of 5 displaced by house fire in North Charleston

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- A family of five was displaced Saturday afternoon by a house fire in North Charleston.

According to North Charleston fire officials, firefighters were called to the Poindexter Road home around 4:30 p.m. Saturday and founds smoke coming from the home.

Crews from North Charleston Fire Department and Ashley River Fire Department put out the fire out, but there was moderate damage done to the home.

No one was injured, officials said. The family is being assisted by the American Red Cross.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
