COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - Federal agents say they have rescued a 23-year-old St. Matthews man in North Carolina six days after he was kidnapped as part of an international plot. The FBI said in a statement that the man was found around 5 a.m. Tuesday in a home in Cumberland County in North Carolina. The man was kidnapped on July 9, and agents say the kidnappers began making demands to the victim's family. The FBI released few details about the plot. The statement said it was an elaborate plot with ties overseas. Agents say they aren't releasing the victim's name to protect his safety. The FBI said three people were arrested. They were identified as 22-year-old Luis Castro-Villeda, 57-year-old Ruben Ceja-Renjal, and 26-year-old Juan Manuel Fuentes-Morales. Agents say more arrests are likely.
