Firefighter bitten by dog while saving home from flames

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- The North Charleston Fire Department responded to a house fire in the 3300 block of Florida Ave. just before midnight Monday night.{}

According to Bianca Sancic, a spokesperson from the NCFD, firefighters reported smoke showing from the single story home.{}

Sancic says the fire was put out quickly and limited to just one room.{}

She said there was one reported injury -{} a firefighter was treated for a dog bite.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
