Firefighters put out fire at North Charleston mobile home
NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- North Charleston firefighters spent part of the morning putting out a mobile home fire off Otranto Road.
According to fire officials, the fire had been knocked down by 12:20 p.m. Tuesday. The first crews to arrive at the scene found heavy smoke and fire coming from the mobile home. By 2:30 p.m., the crews had completely put out the fire and made sure the structure was safe for investigators to enter.
Charleston County Consolidated Dispatch said the fire was near the intersection of Deerwood Drive and Otranto Road.
Officials said no one was in the home at the time of the fire. There have been no reported injuries and crews are still working to determine what caused the fire.
