GEORGETOWN, S.C. (WCIV) -- A Florida computer programmer has been charged with soliciting a minor in Georgetown County after authorities say he made contact with minors for sex.
Also, according to a news release from the Georgetown County Sheriff's Office, images of child pornography were found on a computer belonging to Justin Slavinski, 32.
Slavinski, of Apopka, Fla., was arrested at his home, deputies said, and is awaiting extradition to South Carolina.
Deputies said Thursday Slavinski would be brought to South Carolina Friday night.
"The Internet Crimes Division of the Georgetown County Sheriff's Office began an investigation on Slavinski when he was found to be online making contact with minors for sexual activity," the news release said.
Slavinski is charged in South Carolina with one count of criminal solicitation of a minor and three counts of dissemination of obscene material to a minor.
Investigators said an investigation in Florida revealed Slavinski had been in contact with as many as 40 girls and sent as many as 27,000 instant messages to girls in Florida and other states.
