Folly Beach Pro Tem's ouster back on agenda

FOLLY BEACH, S.C. (WCIV) -- A Folly Beach Council agenda for Tuesday's meeting includes another ouster attempt on the Mayor Pro Tem Eddie Ellis.

As with the planned July 9 measure to censure and remove Ellis from office, the resolution cites misconduct, but does not detail the questionable behavior.

The July 9 ouster was pushed off after council members decided to work through the issues with Ells, an official said.

Now Ellis is back in the hot seat.

Ellis' attorney said earlier this month that he would give Ellis a full defense if the council tried to oust him, but was pushing for the two sides to resolve their differences.
