Police: Former employee arrested for involvement in robbery

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- Charleston police arrested a former employee of the King Street Grocery for an armed robbery he is accused of helping plan, police said.Antwan Dominique Bowman, 24, of Charleston, is charged with armed robbery and obstruction of justice.The store at 435 King Street was robbed on June 5.Police said Bowman is accused of planning the armed robbery with two other people while he was employed at the store.

Police arrested Chris Jamal Rickenbacker, 25, of North Charleston, on July 3 and charged him with armed robbery. Police are trying to identify the third suspect.An investigation after the business was robbed revealed that Bowman intentionally gave false information about the robbery and withheld information from investigators, police said.

Bowman was terminated after the investigation revealed his involvement.

He is being held in the Al Cannon Detention Center with bond set at $110,000.

Police are still investigating the incident.
