Fort Dorchester retires Quinn & Maxwell's jerseys
SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (WCIV) -- With the Saint Louis Rams on a bye week, their 2011 draft pick Robert Quinn had a chance to return to the Lowcountry for a special honor.
Before Fort Dorchester's game against Stratford on Friday, the school paid tribute to their 2011 NFL draftees Robert Quinn and Byron Maxwell. Maxwell who played cornerback at Clemson, was drafted by the Seattle Seahawks in the 6th round. He was unable to attend the ceremony, but his parents were there to accept his framed jersey.
Quinn who graduated from Fort Dorchester in 2008, says he had many great moments playing on Friday nights in the Lowcountry for the Patriots. "This is a special moment for me. Feels great getting my jersey retired, definitely a blessed moment," said Quinn. "To still see support from so many people after I have been gone for a good amount of years definitely a good moment for me."
Quinn, who played Defensive end at the University of North Carolina, was drafted by the Rams in the first round.
