Friday Football Frenzy: 1 of 3 Lowcountry teams go to finals

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- Three Lowcountry teams went into semifinal match-ups looking for a pass to Columbia but only one team picked up its tickets to the Williams Brice. Stratford will be the lone Lowcountry representative in Columbia next weekend.

The Stratford Knights, led by Jacob park's acrobatic performance, dominated South Pointe, 36-13.

The Knights will play Northwestern, the top-seeded team in Division II, next weekend at Williams Brice Stadium. Northwestern again dominated their opponent, beating North Augusta 49-21.

In Summerville, a final touchdown followed by an interception guaranteed Sumter's place in the state title game. Summerville falls, 27-28. Sumter will play Dutch Fork next weekend in the 4A Division I Championship game. Dutch Fork knocked off the top-seeded Byrnes to have a shot at the state title.

Timberland was shut down by Dillon, losing for the sixth time in seven years against Dillon. Dillon wins 14-0.

In Class 3A, Daniel will face Myrtle Beach, and in Class 2A Division I, Fairfield-Central takes on Dillon.
