Friday Football Frenzy: Scores, highlights, and more from the playoffs

      CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- Three teams advance, three teams are headed home after another Friday night of football.

      In a shocking finish to almost everyone, Goose Creek could not overcome a 30-21 deficit to South Pointe and ended their season with a 30-27 loss. With 1:20 left in the fourth quarter, the Gators scored to bring them within three, but could not regain possession to try to tie it up.

      South Pointe will face Stratford next week.

      Stratford won their game at South Florence, a game expected to be the best game of the night in the Lower State. The Knights did not let up, beating the Florence squad 30-14.

      In Summerville, the Green Wave had to push this game to its final seconds to pull out a last-second field goal against Boiling Springs, 29-28.

      The Green Wave will face Sumter in the next round.

      Timberland beat Loris 34-12 and will move on the AA Lower State final against Dillon.{}

      Woodland's season ended with a 35-12 loss to Silver Bluff.

      And Bishop England's hopes of defending their state title ended Friday night when Bamberg-Ehrhardt upset them, 27-20.
