Gamecock Club FanFest hits Mt. Pleasant

MT. PLEASANT, S.C. (WCIV) -- Gamecock fans got a taste of Williams Brice in the Lowcountry Tuesday evening as the Gamecock Club FanFest tour rolled in to Memorial Waterfront Park.

Fans not only got to meet Cocky and USC mascot Sir Big Spur but Head Ball Coach Steve Spurrier, basketball coaches Frank Martin and Dawn Staley, and volleyball coach Scott Swanson. Athletic Director Ray Tanner was also making his way through the garnet-clad crowd.

While waiting in line for autographs, fans had live music to entertain them and jump castles for the kids. Photo ops were set up with the athletic program's trophies. There was even a Dress Up Station where fans could try on football and cheerleader gear.

The future plans for the tailgating area near Williams Brice stadium was set up for future ticket holders to survey when they weren't going for a home run at the inflatable batting cage or trying their luck at the cornhole boards.

The FanFest caravan will be making the rounds through May 9 at the following locations.
