Georgetown deputies searching for home invasion suspects

      MURRELLS INLET, S.C. (WCIV) The Georgetown County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help after two men armed with a gun burst into a home and demanded money Thursday morning.

      According to an incident report, witnesses say two white males wearing dark blue or black masks, dark hoodies, dark pants and armed with a handgun broke into the back door of a home on Hammock Avenue just after 9:00 p.m. Wednesday.

      Once inside, the suspects pointed the gun at one of the people inside the home and demanded cash.

      When that person advised the suspects that she didn't have any money, they fled through the back door and into some nearby woods behind the home.

      Sheriff's deputies used police dogs to track those suspects down but were unsuccessful.
