Georgetown deputies trying to identify armed robbery suspect

MURRELLS INLET, S.C. (WCIV) -- Georgetown County deputies are trying to identify a man they say was involved in an armed robbery late Friday night.

According to officials, a black man entered the Highway 17 Bypass business around 11:30 p.m. Friday and pointed a gun at the victim. The man demanded money and then ran.

Deputies said they thought the man was driving a gold Chevy Impala. He is described as being a 6-foot-tall black man wearing a black or blue bandanna. Anyone who can identify the suspect or has information on the robbery is asked to call the sheriff's office at 843-546-5101.
